Located in the middle of Oahu, Mililani resembles your typical American suburban neighborhood. Mililani is made up of two different areas. Mililani Town and Mililani Mauka. Mililani was the first master planned development in Hawaii which started sales in 1968. Mililani Town is the older part of Mililani and contains the bigger commercial shopping centers and restaurant areas. Mililani Mauka is the newer development with sales that started in 1990. The last homes in this 16,000 home development were built and sold in 2008. Mililani is recognized as one of the best places to live on Oahu.
